Continue your exploration with a guided visit to the world-famous Itaipu Dam — the largest operational hydroelectric power plant on Earth. Discover the incredible engineering feats behind this modern marvel while witnessing how it harnesses the might of nature to generate clean energy. This tour offers a perfect balance of breathtaking scenery and human innovation, making it a must-do for nature and technology enthusiasts alike.
Your day begins early in the morning with hotel pickup, with the exact collection time depending on the area where you are staying. From there, you will travel to Iguazú National Park to experience one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.
Your first visit is to the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls, featuring a 1,200-meter panoramic walkway that offers breathtaking views of the 275 individual waterfalls that form the Iguazú Falls system. On the Brazilian side, you will see four major falls: Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamín Constant, and the spectacular Salto Unión, also known as the Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo).
At the end of the walkway, you will have access to a panoramic elevator that takes you back up to the bus, which will return you to the park’s access portal.
Following a lunch break (not included), the tour continues to the Itaipú Hydroelectric Power Plant, the largest hydroelectric power plant currently in operation in the world. This impressive binational project between Brazil and Paraguay, built on the Paraná River, has an installed capacity of 12.6 million kilowatts, generated by 18 turbines, each producing 700,000 kilowatts.
Itaipú supplies approximately 90% of Paraguay’s electricity and 25% of Brazil’s total energy demand. Recognized as a true marvel of engineering, the plant was selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern Technological World.

"The ticket cost seemed too high for the service received. Delayed buses, overcrowding, and limited flexibility made the tour disappointing compared to other transportation options."
"As first-time visitors, this tour was exactly what we needed. It provided an excellent overview of the city while making every destination easy and enjoyable to explore."
"The buses appeared worn, and some advertised stops were missed without explanation. Poor communication and unreliable service made the overall sightseeing experience frustrating rather than enjoyable."
