Tour Description

Malta has been inhabited for about eight millennia despite being in the middle of the sea. The earliest human settlers arrived on the island from the sea some 8,000 years ago. Perhaps they were drawn to the natural harbours that encircle the city and landed where Valletta is today. Perhaps the waterways they travelled on coincided with our harbour cruise.

The star-shaped Fort Manoel is located on Manoel Island in Marsamxett Harbour, and the harbour boat leaves from the Sliema Ferry Terminal in that direction. The Lazzaretto, a 16th-century quarantine hospital constructed in reaction to a plague outbreak in the city, is also located on the island

North Route (Blue):
  • Tour Timings 08:00 - 14:30
  • The Frequency of Buses is every 60 minutes

South Route (Red):
  • Tour Timings 08:30 - 13:30

Hop On Hop Off Bus:

  • Customers must redeem their vouchers at the following location: Mobile vouchers: Sliema Ferries (stop 17), Paper vouchers: any bus stop
  • Your booking voucher will expire after you exchange it for a ticket.
  • The company or bus operator will not provide a refund if a voucher or ticket is misplaced.
  • Infants can travel free and you do not require to book infant ticket.
Harbour Cruise:
  • Sliema Ferries Departures 10:30, 12:30, 14:45
  • Esplora, Kalkara Departure/Arrivals 11:40, 13:40, 15:55
  • Sliema Ferries Arrivals 12:00, 14:00, 16:15

Voucher Validity:

  • The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of booking.

Important Info:

  • There may be disruptions due to weather, traffic, and events.
  • Stops and timings are subject to alter. There will be an updated map on the bus.
  • There may be a small delay in the bus's arrival and departure schedules.
  • Road closures and heavy traffic can result in delays, reduced trips, and route modifications. We'll make every effort to deliver a seamless and regular service! Under these circumstances, there will be no refund.

  • North route - Every Day
  • North Route departure times from Stop N1: 08:00, 09:00. 10:00. 11:00, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30
  • South Route - Every Day
  • South Route departure times from Stop S10: 09:05, 10:05, 11:05, 12:05, 13:05, 14:05

Harbour Cruise:

  • Sliema Ferries Departures - 10:30, 12:30, 14:45

  • Esplora, Kalkara Departure/Arrivals - 11:40, 13:40, 15:55

  • Sliema Ferries Arrivals - 12:00, 14:00, 16:15

  • You can hop on and off the bus as much as you want for the duration of your ticket.

  • The Harbour Cruise can be utilised within 3 days from the first scan.

  • The 1-day ticket is to travel with the blue & red lines.

  • The 2-day bus ticket can be used in two separate blocks of 1 day. From the point that the ticket is first scanned to make use of the first day, you then have another 5 days to make use of the other day. The ticket cannot be used throughout the whole 5 days.

Information for Cruise Passengers:

  • Upon exiting the cruise port gates, turn right and follow the path all the way along. You will see a blue booth and there you will find the City Sightseeing Malta buses. There will be City Sightseeing staff in the area to assist you.

  • To get the full refund, you must cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the activity/tour start time.
  • If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the activity/ tour start time, you will not get any refund.
  • Modifications/ changes are allowed at least 24 hours before the activity/ tour start time. You must contact us through email.
  • The activity/tour's local start time determines the cut-off times.

  • There may be unexpected changes in the route or timetable due to traffic, public holidays, weather conditions, cruise ship arrivals, or other unanticipated situations. During major events, summer vacations, and weekends, the city will be quite busy. We will do everything we can to provide a smooth and consistent service! In such cases, no reimbursement is allowed.
  • Tours run regardless of the weather. Weather-related refunds will not be issued unless the service is discontinued due to inclement weather.
  • The service provider preserves the right to amend or cancel the itinerary due to city events or force majeure.
