Tour Description

Secrets of Amsterdam’s Red Light District
Red Light Secrets is the world’s first and only Museum of Prostitution, located in the heart of Amsterdam’s famous Red Light District. Housed in a historic 17th-century canal house, this unique museum offers an eye-opening and informative look into the world’s oldest profession.

Step behind the scenes and discover the realities of sex work through first-hand stories from the women who work there. The museum provides an honest, respectful insight into a profession that has shaped this historic neighbourhood for centuries, making it one of Amsterdam’s most thought-provoking attractions.

What to expect from the Museum of Prostitution
A visit to the Prostitution Museum Amsterdam offers a rare opportunity to learn about life behind the iconic red-lit windows. You’ll even be able to sit behind one yourself and experience what it feels like to view the world from the perspective of a sex worker trying to attract passers-by.

Throughout the museum, you’ll hear personal accounts and stories that shed light on the realities of the profession. Unlike elsewhere in the Red Light District, photography is allowed and encouraged, giving you the chance to capture this unique experience.

Red Light Secrets aims to educate and inform in a light-hearted yet respectful way, helping to remove the stigma and misconceptions often associated with sex work
