Once you've had some free time to enjoy lunch at one of Girona's many tempting eateries, get back in your coach and continue to Figueres, the birthplace of renowned Spanish surrealist Salvador Dalí, who was born there in 1904. Your guide will tell you about Dalí's life, including how the audacious artist transformed the town's dilapidated Municipal Theatre into the Dalí Theatre-Museum. The museum, which opened its doors in 1994, is home to the greatest collection of his paintings, sculptures, and other oddities anywhere in the world.
