Westminster Abbey:
Westminster Abbey's gothic interior, rich with an amazing 1000 years of history, is not to be disappointed. Its inside is genuinely breathtaking, with stained glass, magnificent ceilings, wonderful décor, and elaborate furnishings.
Westminster Abbey, the final resting place of an astounding 17 monarchs, is also the location of the world's oldest piece of furniture currently in use. UK kings are still crowned in the Coronation Chair, which was constructed in 1296.
Don't forget to stop by Poets' Corner, an area of the Abbey devoted to the playwrights, poets, and authors who have shaped English literature throughout the years. Thomas Hardy, Rudyard Kipling, and Charles Dickens are all interred here.
