You may learn the history of classic cocktails from our trained bartenders while they demonstrate how to mix them. Tour Description

With an emphasis on beverages from the Prohibition era, Congress Street Up's Savannah Cocktail Classes, housed inside the American Prohibition Museum, provide a hands-on chance to learn the craft of cocktail-making. For individuals who wish to improve their mixology abilities while taking in the distinctive ambience of a speakeasy reminiscent of the 1920s, these classes are ideal.

 

During Prohibition, when alcohol was so strong and astringent that home brewers and bartenders began mixing mixers with the alcohol to make it more palatable, cocktail culture emerged! In keeping with the heritage of those pioneer mixologists, we will teach you the art of crafting authentic Prohibition Era concoctions in our speakeasy.


Authentic bar equipment is used during this two-hour event. You may make Prohibition Era drinks that will wow your friends for years to come by learning from our skilled bartenders.

 

A skilled barman with expertise of both traditional and contemporary cocktail methods leads each lesson. A selection of traditional concoctions, including some of the most well-known ones from the Prohibition era, will be shown for you to make.


Discover the background to well-known drinks including the Sidecar, Bee's Knees, Old Fashioned, and more. The lecturer will go into the components, procedures, and tricks that bartenders employed to make these concoctions when alcohol was outlawed.

 

You will have the opportunity to create your own drinks in the session with the instructor's assistance

  • Tour Timings: Classes are held every Monday – Saturday Evening at 7pm. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to starting time.
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Location: Please use the 220 Congress Street entrance.

  • Mobile vouchers are accepted.
  • Upon exchanging your voucher, you will receive a ticket which should be kept until the tour's expiry date.
  • Please be aware that in the event of losing your voucher or ticket, the company will not be liable for any refunds.

  •  Remember that your vouchers will remain valid for the specific date and time that you selected during the booking process.

Important Info:

  •  There may be disruptions due to weather, traffic, and events. Refunds due to weather will not be issued unless the service is suspended due to weather.
  •  Road closures and heavy traffic can result in delays, reduced trips, and route modifications. We'll make every effort to deliver a seamless and regular service! Under these circumstances, there will be no refund.
  •  Seats are allocated on a first-come first-served basis, we highly recommend customers to arrive to the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour departure.
  • Metered parking is available on Street.
  • Age Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older. Guests must present photo-ID and be 21 years of age or older

  • Reservation based tickets are non-refundable.

  • There may be unexpected changes in the timetable due to public holidays, weather conditions or other unanticipated situations.
  • During major events, summer vacations, and weekends, the city will be quite busy. We will do everything we can to provide a smooth and consistent service! In such cases, no reimbursement is allowed.
  • Tours run regardless of the weather. Weather-related refunds will not be issued unless the service is discontinued due to inclement weather.
  • The service provider preserves the right to amend or cancel the itinerary due to city events or force majeure.
